BlackBerry Torch 9800 - Baru-baru ini perusahaan BlackBerry Kanada, Research in Motion (RIM) meluncurkan handphone BlackBerry seri terbaru yakni BlackBerry 9800 Torch. Smartphone BB ini menggunakan OS BlackBerry 6 dengan layar sentuh (touch screen) 3.2 inci HVGA dan keyboard QWERTY sekaligus.

Ponsel BlackBerry Torch ini berjalan menggunakan prosesor 624 MHz dan memiliki memori internal 512 MB yang bisa di-upgrade dengan flash storage hingga 4 GB. Fitur lainnya koneksi wi-fi dengan standar terbaru 802.11n.

BlackBerry Torch 9800 (rim.com)

Harga BlackBerry Torch 9800 di Amerika Serikat yaitu US$199 atau sekitar Rp 1,8 juta dengan kontrak langganan melalui jaringan mitra AT&T selama 2 tahun. Kabar terbaru mengatakan harga resmi BlackBerry Torch ini dipangkas 50% menjadi US$99 atau sekitar Rp 890 ribu. Tanpa kontrak dengan AT&T, BlackBerry ini di banderol dengan harga US$499 atau sekitar Rp 4,5 juta.

Namun di Indonesia, berdasarkan hasil uji coba yang dilakukan oleh XL dan Indosat, harga BlackBerry Torch 9800 diperkirakan akan lebih mahal RP 2 juta yaitu sekitar Rp 7 - 8 juta dan akan dirilis sekitar kuartal keempat.
